“Pets With Love” Dog Adoption Carnival

Thanks to everyone’s support and participation despite the weather, the “Pets With Love” Dog Adoption Carnival was successfully held on 22nd and 23rd December 2018 at the Soccer Pitch, Lai Chi Kok Park Phase I.

The carnival aimed to promote dog adoption and responsible pet ownership, and was supported by AFCD’s partnering animal welfare organisations, including Animal Friends, Cheung Chau Animal Care, HK Saving Cat and Dog Association, Hong Kong Society of Herpetology Foundation, Lifelong Animal Protection, the Society for Abandoned Animals and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

The two-day event attracted over 6,800 visitors, some of whom brought their dogs with them. Activities included dog licensing service, game booths, dog adoption enquiry service, basic vet consultation service, educational exhibition, sharing sessions by guests, dog playground, workshop, instant-printing photo corner, speed sketching booth, etc.
